  • Senior Electrical Engineer

    D Labs specializes in developing electromechanical devices for data acquisition, testing, measurements, control, and other systems for use in various industries such as the agricultural, medical, hospitality and retail fields.

    The Senior Electrical Engineer position is responsible for collaborating in research and development of new devices as well as improving and expanding capabilities of existing systems according to our clients’ requested specifications. You will work directly with our client engineering and manufacturing teams to help design and develop devices with specific production budget requirements.

    Responsibilities include:

    - Analyze product and device requirements with the goal of refining client-provided system specifications and iterating in order to achieve a viable system and product design - Participate in team to design system architecture and circuit design and drive the implementation and software for embedded systems.
    - Produce (CAD) Computer Aided Designs to realize electrical and mechanical system concepts, and drive designs through to production-ready and manufacturable systems. - Select and program microcontrollers and oversee PCB designs and troubleshoot prototypes
    - Produce technical software and system architecture documentation and schematics
    - Produce prototype and production cost estimates with itemized bill of material
    - Communicate with manufacturing and help to resolve issues in production
    - Evaluate existing system designs for future iterations and improvements

    Minimum Requirements:

    - Bachelor degree in electrical engineering
    - 5 years of experience designing and developing electrical, electromechanical and microelectromechanical devices
    - 5 years experience of real time OS and supporting programming languages such as C, C+, C# or Python
    - 5 years experience in integration of custom circuitry with embedded PC systems and subcomponents and DSP systems
    - 5 years experience in electrical circuit design of analog, digital, and mixed signal systems
    - 5 years experience and understanding of signal processing, sensors and motor driver systems using PWM controllers
    - 3 years experience with computer aided design tools for PCB and electrical circuit design
    - 1 years experience with related prototyping and manufacturing processes (PCB fabrication, micro/nano-fabrication in clean room, assembly and test methods)
